Why do most sweepstakes exclude Hawaii and Alaska?

you know when you read the Rules and Regulations of sweepstakes? They say, "Valid only in the contiguous United States". Why are AK and HI excluded? do they have their own special sweepstakes? Thanks!

There would be additional costs including the non-contiguous states. Also, each state has its own regulations regarding sweepstakes. Many times you see states excluded from sweepstakes because of the laws of that state.
Reply:shipping costs, and yes they have their own.
Reply:they are too far away that it wouldn't make any sense to go there
Reply:Because they exclude us. They make it known that they hate Americans. They do not want to be a part of America. Pretend to be a tourist and see what happens..
