I received a ckeck from them and it just doesn't sound right

Is lotto, publishers clearing house sweepstakes legit?
Publisher's Clearinghouse is legit, but they don't just send checks without warning. You have probably received a very common scam going around right now, where the scammers pose as important companies in the sweepstakes industry and try to convince you that they are legitimate by including a check. The check is either forged or they put a stop payment on it right away.





You never have to pay taxes to a sweepstakes sponsor, or to pay handling or service fees to get them to release a prize.
