i was sent a check ask to cash and send x amount of $ and the balance of my winnings would be sent immediatly . check is from security payments services, inc. charleston sc,the company sending it is first captial fin.inc hamilton ontario canada. i would like to know if this is a scam

yeah it's a scam. I'd be a gazillionaire if i went for every one of those emails i got. DId they tell you to western union it?? and by the time your bank verifies that the check is fake the crooks already have the money and guess who gets stuck with the bill.... YOU
Reply:my Advice: Don't deal with anyone from a foreign country and never use wire transfer services.. you risk losing your $$ and your mind.
