Has anyone WON anything from a sweepstakes or contest?

Please only people that like to enter then answer this.


I enter them by either mailing them in or doing them from on-line websites that are promoting them. I shy away from ones that tend to be SCAMS. What is the best way to boost my odds of winning a great prise?

I have won lots of things from local contests. The purpose of any contest, even a legitimate one, is to get your information so they can try to sell you something later on. The exception would be charity raffles, and I have won lots of those too. I have won clothes, jewelry and computers. But never online.

Reply:I won the nickolodeon holiday inn fairly odd parents sweepstakes. the emailed me the code but i didn't check my email quick enough, and when i put the code in it said i won. so i continued and then it said the sweepstakes date was over all ready. i was realy upset though!
Reply:I have yet to win anything from sweepstakes or even minor contest/luckydraws at the super market. I mail in the Readers' Digest sweepstake every year for the past 3 years and I have won nothing. I don't think there is any chance of increasing your odds of winning because I think it's totally random...
