Such as THE AUSTRALIAN INTERNATIONAL LOTTERY PROGRAMME and the UK INTERNATIONAL LOTTERY.
Are this sweepstakes online or lottery for real or only hoax?
If you have received an unsolicited email stating you have won such a lottery and you haven't participated, then this is a SCAM. The below links confirm various email scams hitting the internet, including the famous Yahoo/MSN lottery scams and how to report them - (with links for your own country.) :

Unscrupulous thieves have sent you this email and they are trying to part you from your hard earned cash. They will often ask you to call a premium rate number and keep you holding on whilst you rack up a huge phone bill. They are then paid a large proportion of this phone bill. They may ask you to divulge personal information about yourself or ask for your bank or credit card details. Do not divulge any such information under any circumstances. It is surprising how many innocent victims have been duped by these types of emails. Please remember the thieves who send them are very clever and extremely convincing. I suggest you delete the email and send it into cyberspace, hopefully along with the thieving scumbags who send them.

Reply:If you received an email saying you won, IT IS A SCAM!
There is a way to legally buy US and European lottery tickets online, but they will NEVER send you an email telling you that you have won!
Reply:Majority of them are an attention grabber so they can enter you for other things like email offers and credit cards. So 95% of them are a hoax, so I've experienced.
