Is there any legitamite sweepstakes, lotteries, or cash prize drawing sites on the Web? I have been ripped?

I have received biz opps and lottos, sweeps, drawings plus over onehundred million dollars in fake checks, money orders and scams in the last three years. I have a table full of real checks drawn by scammers on business accounts and personal accounts?? These have ruined my bank accounts due to returned items and my credit reports due to identity theft,

Is there any legitamite sweepstakes, lotteries, or cash prize drawing sites on the Web? I have been ripped?
Sorry but you have just learnt the hard way. 3 years is a long time to keep falling for the same thing.

It is a bit like 'shutting the gate after the horse has bolted', but learn the lesson well and don't fall for it again.

- If you didn't enter a lottery then you sure didn't win it

- if it looks too good to be true then it normally IS too good to be true

I hate reading these posts knowing that these scumbags have cheated/stolen money out of decent people and don't care less.

I also hate that sources like Yahoo Answers itself do not do more to prevent these mails/posts being sent in the first place

Sorry

P.S. - Any offers/surveys/homeworking/loans etc that you get one here -= assume they are also fake or referals that take forever to get money back (like the one below me)
Reply:The only legitimate ones would be the ones that are sponsored by big operations like Pepsi, CocaCola, Publishing Clearinghouse. Those types. Any other one that you receive info one may be a scam.

One sure way to check these out is to call them up and ask them what state agency they registered with in order to run their promotion. If they don't give you an answer that you can verify by calling that state agency, then it is a scam. Tip, don't believe any sweepstakes, lottery or cash prize promotion being conducted outside of the USA.

If you have had your credit affected by any of these con artists, you need to check out the Federal Trade Commissions website for their free kit on identity theft. Better yet, get the free kit here: http://creditrepair.topreviewslist.com/H...
Reply:Oy! This reminds me of the old saying, "A fool and his money are soon parted."

Don't take it personally. You have been too trusting in the past. Time to assume these things are all scams. They are.
Reply:Assume all of these are scams.
Reply:Absolutely - www.sweepstakes-online.com. A wonderful source for legit sweepstakes. I have been entering online sweeps for 7 years now and have netted over $150,000 in cash and prizes. I am a fanatic though - I enter about 400 daily. My number #1 advise - do not enter sweepstakes offered through popups or email unless it is being offered by a name you recognize like "Best Buy, Pillsbury. Kraft and all those other names whose products you buy everyday. #2 You WILL NEVER be required to buy anything or pay to claim a prize in a legitimate sweepstakes. Good Luck! And here is sweepstakes you can enter every day until 6/2/2008 at http://www.foodnetwork.com/ The prize: $65,000 cash towards the expense of remodeling winner's outdoor kitchen and backyard makeover, Bobby Flay grillware, gift certificate to purchase Kohl's products and BrandSource 48" built-in grill, refrigerator, access doors, built-in refreshment center and built-in trash drawer.
